Denial

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
wrists

Denial makes us strong.

You entreat me to fill you.
To drive desperately deep down into you.
To grasp your hips with insistent strength pull them toward me as I invade your body.
To roll my eyes upward as you envelope me in velvet.
I say “no”.
And pain overtakes you.
And it makes us stronger.

Denial teaches us patience.

You implore me to release your passion.
To speed my stroke.
To accede to the insistent vibration gripping to your hungriest centimeter.
To flow with the wave rolling, thick and foamy, over your consciousness.
I say “no”.
And pain overrides reason.
And it teaches us patience.

Denial helps us survive.

We plead to the heavens to bring us together.
To extent tendrils intertwining.
To pull the breath from the depth of each and mingle in mélange of aerial essence.
To feed the insatiable beast, the brute that knows nothing but its own need.
And circumstance says “no”.
And “no”.
And “no”.
And “no” again.
Indefinitely.
And pain overwhelms us.
And we learn to survive.

Denial intensifies emancipation, allowing us to appreciate the “yes” when she finally arrives.
